How Does KYBELLA Work?
KYBELLA is an injectable treatment. To start, our nurse practitioner will clean your skin before applying a numbing cream to reduce any discomfort. The procedure takes around 15 – 20 minutes and involves several small injections into the submental area. Clients may only need a single KYBELLA session to achieve their desired look while other patients may need a few injections spaced three weeks apart at our Birmingham, MI office.

How much does KYBELLA cost?
KYBELLA treatment costs will vary based on the number of sessions you need. During your initial consultation, a personalized plan will be developed to work with your goals. A team member will also discuss payment options with you in your first appointment.
How does KYBELLA work?
The active ingredient in KYBELLA, is deoxycholic acid, which is formulated to break down fat cells in the body. Once the fat cells are destroyed, they cannot regenerate. Therefore, after you have finished, you should not need additional KYBELLA treatments.
Can KYBELLA be used to treat other areas of the body?
Currently, KYBELLA is only available for treatment of the submental area. KYBELLA can effectively reduce the appearance of a double chin. KYBELLA has not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use on any other areas of the body.
Am I eligible for a KYBELLA treatment?
There are a few factors that could make you ineligible to receive a KYBELLA treatment. You must be over the age of 18 years old, not breastfeeding or pregnant, and cannot have any infection in or around the treatment site. Before the process begins, you should share any health concerns and your medical history so our team can determine if you may be at risk for an adverse reaction from the treatment.
How many treatment sessions will I need?
During your initial consultation, we'll craft a personalized treatment plan tailored to meet your desired results. Generally speaking, patients receive between 2 – 4 KYBELLA injections to achieve their goals. KYBELLA injections need to be spaced about one month apart. You should not receive more than six injections.
