How Does JUVÉDERM Work?
JUVÉDERM treatments at Between the Lines Aesthetics generally only take about 15 – 30 minutes, depending on how many injections are being delivered. After cleaning your skin of any oils or debris, our nurse practitioner will map out the injection spots on your face. To minimize discomfort during the treatment, JUVÉDERM dermal fillers contain lidocaine, a local anesthetic. For your convenience, you can choose either injections or a cannula approach, which some clients prefer for comfort. During your consultation, we can go over the benefits of each approach and help you determine which is right for you. Once your JUVÉDERM treatment is complete, you can continue your normal routine, but strenuous activity (such as exercise) should be avoided for at least 24 hours.

How much does JUVÉDERM cost?
Your cost for a JUVÉDERM injection will be based on how much filler is necessary for the treatment area. Prior to your injection treatment, a personalized treatment plan will be created to fit your aesthetic goals. Once this is complete, your injector will estimate costs and discuss payment options.
Are JUVÉDERM injections painful?
Although most patients don't think it's necessary, a local anesthetic can be applied to the treatment area prior to injection if you are concerned about any discomfort. Following the injection, you may experience some slight bruising and swelling that should be gone in 5 – 7 days. You should contact our office if you experience any lasting discomfort or signs of infection after your treatment.
What is the difference between a wrinkle filler and relaxer?
Both fillers and relaxers correct facial wrinkles but through different methods. Injectable wrinkle relaxers, such as BOTOX, work to correct dynamic wrinkles caused by chronic muscle contractions. JUVÉDERM is an injectable wrinkle filler that corrects static wrinkles by increasing volume. JUVÉDERM is ideal for treating mild to moderate wrinkles or reversing volume loss in your lips and cheeks.
What results can I expect?
You may need to wait 1 – 3 days to see the full results of your treatment. Generally, it takes only one session to achieve your goals. However, you may make another appointment if you would like to see more improvement or volume.
How long do results typically last?
Your results from one JUVÉDERM injection can last up to two years. This will vary depending on which filler is used and where it was injected. The longevity of results will depend on how fast your body absorbs the product.
